Dr. Karlee Hondo-Rust grew up on her family's farm in Burley, Idaho.
It was during that time she first remembers wanting to be a veterinarian. Leaving Idaho to pursue her secondary education, Dr. Hondo earned her Bachelor's degree from Seattle University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. To be close to family and friends, Dr. Hondo moved back to Idaho where she completed her postgraduate clinical year at WestVet Emergency and Specialty Center.
While at WestVet, Dr. Hondo trained under the top veterinarians in the region, gaining extensive experience in everything from emergency medicine to internal medicine to surgery. After WestVet, Dr. Hondo accepted a position as a veterinarian at TVVH, where she leads the team of doctors and cares for many of the exotic animals in the valley.
Outside of work, Dr. Hondo enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and attending the Idaho Shakespeare Festival
